You want to get creating right away...with the simplest way to get started?
I highly recommend starting with a kit. Jacquard offers a kit with instructions...5 colours of marbling paint, carageenan, and alum.

You will need 1 day to prep and 1 day to marble! Day 1 prep carageenan and alum. Day 2 you will marble!
Remember NO SOAP! Pre-rinse all your creating tools.
FLOATING MEDIUM (SIZE)- 16 cups of water to 4 teaspoons of carageenan powder. Mix then store overnight.
ALUM(MORDANT)- I USE A DIFFERENT FORMULA THEN THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!! 4 cups of hot water to 1/4 cup alum. Whisk. Set aside. Check for sediment, remix if needed. This can be applied to any item you want to marble using a sprayer, brush, or by soaking. Once applied you will set aside to dry overnight.
I have a 2 part series walking you thru these steps over on YouTube. Water Marbling for Beginnners – Part 1
There are so so so many items you can water marble. You can check out our YouTube videos for our prep process...
Any questions, pop them in the comments below! Happy Marbling!
